Meet your High Country and Beyond Team Leaders

Noel Ham:

Noel’s first 4WD was a Datsun 720 way back when… and now drives a Nissan Patrol (GU) Coil Cab. Irene has purchased a Ford Ranger, and he is gradually giving in to the ability/comfort of the new vehicles, and sometimes even  lapses and calls it ‘his car.’ (this section written by Irene… shh don’t tell him)

An active a member of the Wangaratta 4WD club for over 15 years, he is qualified in Advanced driver training and recovery (FWDV), and also has his tickets for Chainsaw and First Aid.

Noel has led many trips for his club, Beyond Hotham, Buckland & Beyond and Omeo & Beyond in 2017 and 2018.

Noel enjoys reading and learning about the history of the areas he travels into covering the Wonnangatta murders, Len Beadell’s book on the formation of  outback tracks and much, much more….

He loves the Victorian High Country which he calls ‘his backyard” and also loves exploring the Great Victorian Desert.

Dave has extensive experience in Trip Leading throughout Australia, including the “Patrol 50” event across the Simpson. He is a certified 4WDVic instructor for both the Drive and Recover 4WD Vehicles and Use and Maintain Chainsaws courses. Dave also has a first aid certificate.

He loves being out in the bush with no phones and no TV, loves exploring new areas and has an interest in the early settlement / gold mining history of the Victorian High Country.

He won’t leave home without his camera, as he enjoys every photography opportunity (that’s one of Dave’s photo on the Home page), and of course, his wife Fiona.

John Flemming:

John has been Four wheel driving since 2006.  His first 4WD was a Nissan Navara and he now drives a Nissan Patrol. John has been a member of a 4WD club since 2008 and has led trips for this club.

Bram has been involved with four Beyond Hotham’s, the 2016 High Country and Beyond at Omeo, and his local 4WD Clubs in Geelong.

Bram and his family enjoy caravanning and the outdoors in general, particularly the Victorian High Country.

Graeme Price

Graeme started in four wheel drives in the early 1980s with an FJ45 then several more till the purchase of his newest vehicle, a 105 series Toyota which is slowly being built up.
